Case Study: The Power Project

SCOPE:

POWER was a user-driven H2020-CAPS2020 project pioneering the Water Community approach to sharing knowledge and experience on water scarcity, security, quality and water consumption-related issues in different EU local authorities, thus creating an important tool for EU water policy. The pilot municipalities from this project were Leicester (UK),  Milton Keynes (UK), Sabadell ( Spain) and Jerusalem (Israel).

As one of the advisory board members, Koom Consulting played an active role in the Sabadell, Spain pilot project. The main goal of the city was to promote, by way of the active involvement of citizens and other key stakeholders, the improved water quality, better management of water resources as well as the treatment of and reuse wastewater for non-potable purposes within the municipality.
